The other day we drove a long, winding road up a mountain to visit Feudi di San Gregorio, a beautiful winery. Our visit began with a tour of the winery grounds and the fermentation room, and we watched the process for putting the bubbles into the prosecco.

After our tour we went to their restaurant, Marenna, for a lunch paired with 3 of their wines, plus a glass of prosecco to start. The food and the wine were both incredible.

This room was enormous – barrels of wine as far as you can see

Handmade pasta filled with zucchini, parmesan and butter. I can’t even tell you.

Dessert – a lovely combination of tastes & textures. Limoncello sorbet over a crisp meringue biscuit, on top of a custard.

Now we’ll be looking to find their wine in the DC area.
